Beer Brat Tips

Suggestions on cooking brats with beer.

  1. Sautee the onions until they are clarified before adding beer and brats.
  2. Use a beer that you like to drink. Schell's Firebrick or Dark is what I use, but I wouldn't be adverse to using Grain Belt Premium or even Straight High Life. If you don't want the beer to add flavor, don't use beer. Apple juice also makes delicious brats.
  3. Ignore the smell, it won't really taste like that.
  4. Relax, have a beer.
