eəbbs, pronounced "e-schwa BBS", is available by telnetting to bbs.eschwa.com. Access is also available via ssh and a variety of clients.

The Story of How Eschwa Began (A Fairy Tale)

It's not all that exciting. No ninjas or explosions or tales of romance and intrigue.
Once upon a time, I wanted a domain to give out accounts, and was too selfish to use grog.net. This was during the e-everything dot-com days, where domains like etoys.com and etrade.com were equated with instant bucks. Anything that started with e and had your product type was somehow assumed to be money in the bank.
So I figured I'd mock all of this and create eschwa.com.
But then I got lazy and never set up the public access account end of things. Shortly thereafter, there was the whole Heinous-Atrium migration deal, and I wasn't a big Atrium fan, so I decided to set up a BBS on an old Linux box.
Then a spare Sun E250 came along, and I decided to move the BBS to that. It was around that time the place started to pick up activity.
And now you know... the rest of the story.
