Savoury Twists

Base
- Frozen puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg, beaten
Fillings
Cheese
- Finely grated parmesan and cheddar mixed together
Herb and garlic
- Mix minced garlic with finely chopped oregano, parsley and thyme
Olive
- Blend olive tapenade with some ricotta cheese
Prosciutto
- The most finely-sliced proscuitto you can find
- Basil pesto
Pizza
- Tomato paste mixed with basil and garlic
- Finely grated mozzarella
Spicy Mediterranean
- Blend chili powder with feta and chopped dried tomatoes to make a paste
Thai
- Red curry paste (mild or hot) blended with spring onions and a dash of lemongrass
Honey Sesame
- Mix sesame seeds with a some honey and little water
Method
When the pastry has defrosted, brush lightly with beaten egg and then spread (lightly-ish) with fillings of choice. Cut into 1.5cm (5/8") strips, pick up each end and twist twice. Place on non-stick baking tray and bake for in a hot oven (200C/400F) for 10 minutes or until golden.
