[edit] Physical CD Exchange

On the BBS, Mail> Zanthany your name and snail mail address if you want to participate by September 1. In a week or two you will receive your exchange list complete with names and addresses for your mailers. CDs are to be, of course, CDA/CD audio format for the best compatibility and the packaging should contain some sort of track list with artist and song title so we know what the heck we're jamming to. You'll also be able to get creative with album covers and whatnot, but only if you so choose. I mean, after all, it is about the music.

[edit] Digital Exchange

I'd like the following things for the music mixes:

  1. In mp3 format, to prevent possible DRM issues.
  2. A play order, either a created m3u or a numbering scheme on the songs.
  3. A cover for it. If you are super lazy, make a .txt file that has 'Grog's House of Funk'. But a good cover in like .jpg format would be nice. If you want to include a .txt file saying why and where you got the music, knock yourselves out. If I don't get at least one great album cover like Houses of the Holy, I will be disappointed.

[edit] Tagging and naming

Also, please tag your files with the proper artist and song title. The artist should be the song artist, not you. You tag files in iTunes by hitting Ctrl-I (or Command-I) and making sure the Info is correct. Tagging files in Winamp is done by hitting Alt-3.

Files should be named something like the following:

Your Mix Name - xx - Song Artist - Song Title.mp3

For example, the first file from the first disc of Neurophyre's set is

[infinity] - 01 - The Church - Under The Milky Way.mp3
