Totally Sad Cheeseburger Macaroni

Tonight's dinner (we're poor and gas prices are up)
Totally Sad Cheeseburger Macaroni
- 1lb ground beef
- 1 box store brand mac & cheese
- 1 can diced tomatoes with chiles
- shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cheese single slices
- various spices
- Season the ground beef. I used salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, red pepper flakes and "charcoal seasoning" (read powdered charcoal briquettes apparantly).
- Brown the ground beef. Once browned, add the can of tomatoes and more seasoning (I used everything but the charcoal seasoning that I used above), and simmer for a while.
- Prepare the mac & cheese according to directions.
- In a casserole dish, combine the mac & cheese and the beef mixture. Top with the shredded cheese and the cheese singles (we had white american but whatever's on hand works). Put in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the casserole has thickened up a bit.
